Our lives are full of damaged emotions, neurosis, depression and stress.

Our mental state is constantly battered by problems hard to address.

And psychiatry or a trip to the pharmacy might cure us of cash if we choose!

Oh Lord we need a quick easy fix- one that any one could use.

We need Emotional Duct Tape for that split personality.

It’d help keep us together while we seek reality.

Now it’d be cheap and easy- not take an expert to install.

Lord, a roll of it in the toolkit would be a blessing to us all!

Now when our inner voice gets oral diarrhea, it’s misery without end.

That non-stop chatter about things that don’t matter can drive you ‘round the bend.

And no self-help book’s gonna ward off the looks of those who find us confused.

Oh Lord we need a quick easy fix- one that anyone could use.

We need Emotional Duct Tape to gag our inner voice.

Oh life would be much sweeter if we all just had that choice!

Now it’d be cheap and easy- not take an expert to install.

When love lets you down and it jerks you around and it breaks your heart right in two-

The tears and the pain can cloud up your brain ‘till there’s nothing you can do.

You might wonder how you go on living, when there’s nothing left to loose

It’d last a while and help you smile as you make a new start.
